Let's Talk About *New Beginnings*

So...here's the starter:

After spending five months living in Orlando and working for Disney, Nick and I decided to move home to Tucson. We knew that moving cross-country a week after the wedding and starting fresh with school and work would be challenging....but it seems we were a little TOO optimistic :). Although we miss spending as much time as we like in "The Happiest Place On Earth," we love the improvement we have seen in our daily lives, our work, our schooling, and our marriage.

Here's the dish-for-three:

Nick is a full-time student at Pima CC this semester finishing up some straggling credits before his final transition to the University of Arizona . He works part time for a paper company (how very Dunder Mifflin of him) and spends his free time playing basketball in his YMCA league and hanging out with friends and Rilo.

I am back with the ever-growing Fox Restaurant Concepts. I currently manage our Tucson location of BLANCO Tacos and Tequila. Its a fun, upbeat, modern take on Mexican fare. It takes up about 55-60 hours of my week. The rest of my time is spent sleeping, cleaning, and playing catch-up with my husband.

Rilo is now 10 months young and stronger/bigger than ever. She has such a personality and couldn't be happier spending time with the two of us. She lives for her morning walks with Nick and visits to Nana's house. She sits, stays, lays down, high-fives, and "almost" rolls over. She is teaching both of us patience, but every month gets easier. We aren't out of the woods yet, but the puppy energy is slowly subsiding.

And for dessert:

Tucson is treating us well. We are happy to have my mom and siblings here. Do we wish we had more family close by? Of course! We are so excited for our first Holiday season as a married couple. We are busy, we are blessed, and we are happy.
